Trellebystrands Camping AB has decided to monitor both indoor and outdoor areas using video surveillance with recording capabilities.
Clear signage is provided at the welcome sign, at the entrance gate, and at the reception area—a total of three signs strategically placed.
Signs direct visitors to the website for more information.
The same information available on the website is also available at the front desk.
It is difficult to get an overview of the area in terms of staffing levels, and this allows us to provide guests with better service.
There is a factor related to employee safety, where recorded footage may be used as evidence in a potential legal proceeding.
There are valuable items in the store and in the surrounding area; thefts occur during business hours, and unwanted visitors come by at night.
No information will be disclosed to third parties except in the event of a criminal investigation, in which case it will be provided to the Swedish judicial system.
We use video surveillance based on a balancing of interests, whereby our legitimate interest in surveillance—to protect guests, employees, and company property, and to document any violations of the law, etc.—outweighs the need of individuals present on the premises and within the area to protect the personal data processed as a result of the recording.
Recording of images in spaces and areas under video surveillance is not considered an invasion of privacy.
The purpose of the surveillance is:· To ensure a safe working environment for employees.· To create a secure workplace for employees.· To facilitate monitoring of the facility, including outdoor areas, barriers, and containers.· To improve customer service.· To prevent theft.· To prevent trespassing after hours.· To deter crime.· To prevent crime.· To investigate crimes.
The recorded footage is accessible to company management. Other staff members only have access to real-time footage.
Camera monitors are located in the office and at the cash register.
The recorded material is stored for a maximum of one week and can be made available upon request to anyone who wishes to view it, in accordance with the GDPR’s data protection rules for personal data.
To access the recorded footage, you must verify your identity and specify the date and time of your visit to the facility.
You have the right to know:· Why your data will be used· In certain cases, the legal basis for processing your data· How long your data will be stored· Who will have access to your data· Your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation· Whether your data will be transferred to a so-called third country (a country outside the EU/EEA)· Your right to file a complaint· How to withdraw your consent, if you have given it· The contact information for the organization responsible for processing your data and for its data protection officer, if any.
You can read more about your rights (such as the right to erasure) on the Swedish Data Protection Authority’s website:https://www.imy.se/vagledningar/for-dig-som-privatperson/dina-rattigheter/information/.
